As demand for creative problem solving rises and DIY movements prevail, many adults who would otherwise engage in creative activities lack something—perceived time, confidence, community, or resources—to actually do so. Make Me builds learners’ creative confidence while combatting these practical barriers. Respecting users’ other priorities, it prompts them to perform daily microactivities that activate divergent thinking and combat functional fixedness. Social learning and inspiration via inclusive examples happen through Make Me’s forums, where users can curate their work and seek support from peers. Make Me even provides materials boxes to provoke exploration and free construction.
